Why your life will never change: the meaningless new year’s resolutions.

By January 3, 2022 One Comment

Since 2016 I’ve always smoked a cigar on the 31st of December.

Why?

Because I enjoy it. Plus it’s a good time to look back on the past year.

Analyze that and see what needs to be changed to make the next year even better.

Most people however never look back on their past year.

They find a 30 minute “motivation window” and write down their goals for the new year.

The “new year, new me motivation” last just long enough to write everything down, but not long enough to do what actually needs to be done.

I’m pretty sure the majority of the people only do it because everyone is doing it.

But just like those people they fail to realize that you just need to take action plus change your habits in order to make a drastic change.

Waiting for Monday or a new year is a recipe for disaster since you’ll enforce your bad habits even more.

And then, when the new year or Monday arrives, all those good intentions fly out of the window.

It’ll be done next Monday or next year, which obviously doesn’t happen.

Why? Because most people don’t feel like doing it.

The only way to change your life is by starting today at this exact moment.

You don’t need another list to get you started.

You need to take action and build momentum.

So what is it going to be for 2022?

An improved life?

Or another list that will collect dust?

The choice is yours.

Happy new year

Alex
